SLAC is hosting and participating in many events this year that will celebrate the lab's past and welcome its bright future.
Information about these events, and many others, will be posted here when details are available--so check back often. In the meantime, join us at our next public lecture or for an anniversary tour!
Wonder what the universe looks like at the smallest and largest scales? Find out how scientists at SLAC use X-ray laser vision to see the invisible, and how telescopes both on earth and in space are used to study mysterious dark matter and dark energy.
SLAC Director Emeritus and 2010 Enrico Fermi Award recipient Dr. Burton Richter presents this retrospective of the history of SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, from the lab's inception within the physics community at Stanford University, to becoming the multiprogram laboratory that it is today.

Join us for the lab's first-ever "after dark" event for K-12 SLAC Kids!
Starting at 6:30 pm on April 11, 2012, SLAC employees and their children are invited to spend an evening exploring the lab's science and interacting with SLAC researchers. Snacks and hands-on science activities will precede a special lecture presented by Sam Webb (SSRL) on imaging ancient fossils using advanced x-ray technology.
